Stalker has finally gone gold ! Will be in the shops this month hopefully. Now would be a good time to upgrade your pc’s people! Got my eye on a Geforce 8800 GTX…. but i dont have 350 quid spare :( might go for a GTS model instead
Oh yeah, also there is new Southpark next week :)

    I see that C&C Tiberium Wars is coming out soon, along with Supreme Commander (spiritual successor to Total Annihilation). Might have to get back into a bit of PC gaming…

    Actually, I’ve been playing Civ3 a bit recently (on flatmate’s Windows laptop). I forgot how much I love those games. Many memories of playing the original Civ on PCs that Dad brought home from work. Awesome…

    I suppose I should really see if I can get 3D acceleration working on my desktop. I disabled it when I switched to dual monitors as I couldn’t get it to play nice with xinerama (multi-monitor aware application extension) and I want that more than eye candy. Dual screen RTS gaming would be pretty sweet imho.

    I’d also need a new gfx card. I’m running an old AGP Geforce MX200 and a new-but-cheap-as-chips PCI Geforce MX4 at the moment. Rubbish cards for gaming, I know. But then I actually work at my PC, rather than play games (a novelty I know).

    Then again, I might just buy a next-gen console…

    working for a major smartphone os type company in cambridge :) dont ask me if its any good yet, i dont start till mid april and never used one of their phones
